Hello to whoever's reading this!
Wow, it's been a really long time since I last posted anything on here.
This might be a pretty pointless post but I feel the need to update my blog.
I changed the URL! (finally xD).
-Insert boring rambling here-
~ANYWAY! I started doing edits on mainly my own IMVU avatar (yes, I play that game, berate me if you must) and occasionally for other people when they responded to my Pulse posts...xD(This was last year when I started doing them). I think they're really fun to do and also very rewarding; even more so if you decide to charge people credits! ~Evil laugh~ XD
At the moment I'm pretty much not charging people. I don't know, maybe I feel guilty taking their credits. Yes, I think that'd be right. Haha.
Anyway, I use GIMP at a Wacom graphics tablet to do edits. For the people who don't know what 'edits' are, basically it's an airbrushed and sometimes photo manipulated picture of your IMVU avatar. All you do is take a snapshot of your avatar by using the nifty code thing for the IMVU chat called '*hiresnobg' (with the asterisk). Type in the code to the chat you're in and position the viewpoint (or whatever it's called) at your avatar to where desired and press 'Enter' or 'Send'. It takes a snapshot of your avatar without the background and automatically puts the file on your desktop for easy access.
Then you can use whatever photo editing program you want to airbrush or manipulate your or someone else's avatar.
• By the way, '*hiresnobg' stands for 'High Resolution No Background' and it's really handy.•
I can enhance the skin of the avatar to make it look more interesting and 'glowing', or I can make it pale, etc. ~~~
I'll be uploading some photos of my edits to here when I get home because the sites I need like DeviantART and PhotoBucket are blocked! D: Also, I have a lot of edits on my laptop and I'm using
my iPad at school.
UNTIL TONIGHT! :D
